Shooting
Due to light conditions, I used a lightweight Manfrotto tripod to take three bracketed shots to later compose them as an HDR image. Don’t take bracketed shots with your hands: it never yields good results due to the movement of our hands. You’ll end up with three shots with a lot of ghosting between each other that will produce a blurry HDR merge.
This was shot with the Fujifilm X-T2 and Fujinon 35mm f2. I’ve been using them for a while and it’s amazing how crisp the image is and the how beautiful the colors are rendered. Most of the times you just need the JPEG that the camera produces. Still, for this one, I used the RAW since I wanted to edit the image and export it and didn’t want to edit an already lossy JPEG.
Editing
Despite having used ON1 a lot recently, I merged these with Affinity Photo. Somehow their HDR merge is much better, producing a final image that is much more crisp.
Location
The place where I took the photo is this, next to the river Blanco that crosses the route 7, just a little before the huge and fantastic Potrerillos Dam.
